From Photo to Doodle

Doodling from a photo I took in Newark, then playing around in Photoshop!

I like using a simple colour palette and creating a variety of textures and effects. 

Not sure which one I like best yet...I may even carry on experimenting and

hope to sell it in my online shop.

New Adventure

As I approach a new season in my life (full time Mummy and other things!) 

I thought it was time I got back into blogging and design! For now I am having

a break from early years* and excited to see what adventures I will go on! Hopefully

you will see more regular posts with photography, arty things, Joshua things and

any other things that inspire me!

*Early Years Education is still something close to

my heart and I hope to pursue it through my art

and family life.

Yorkshire Coast

Its that time of year again...Summer! It has been a while since my last blog post but hopefully things are winding down so I can post more! We had a lovely time visiting Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby and Scarborough this weekend. Such beautiful landscapes! I have recently been working on some commissions for local charities and looking forward to a camping trip in Cornwall next month. Stay tuned for more stunning landscapes.

Nature Walk

I'm a bit late uploading these after a lovely walk on Easter Monday. Our local countryside is so beautiful, I just had to capture it! Happy Weekend everybody!

'Tie a Prayer'

We had a very interesting day exploring my local city, Leicester.

Firstly we visited the Richard III museum and then his final resting

place in the Cathedral. Considering I have lived in Leicestershire 

nearly all my life I have never explored the medieval parts of Leicester.

Very beautiful and interesting. The Cathedral had created a beautiful

prayer rail for people to take a ribbon and 'tie a prayer'. A visually stunning 

and spiritual display.

Beautiful bath!

Hello everyone! I have been very busy the last few months with various bits and
bobs, but I am trying to get back to blogging!! I have missed taking photos. So here
are some colourful images of a beautiful bath bomb... love the pink, yellow and green

Project Life

I had a lovely afternoon with the fabulous Sue and Evangeline

being crafty! We were exploring Becky Higgin's Project Life.

Christmas Decorations!

       

                   

 

 

Here are my finished Christmas Decorations! I went to the

craft shop yesterday and treated myself to some new paints!

Perfect for painting my clay decorations and finished off with

some sparkly glitter! 

                     

Christmas Pattern

Happy half term! I know it's only October, but I am entering 

a competition to design a Christmas Pattern for wrapping paper.

So I got my paints out and stampers! I could spend hours

painting, especially when it's rainy outside and I'm all cosy

indoors!

I couldn't resist these star table decorations from Paperchase!

I have been crafty today and started making Christmas

decorations! I loved using clay at school, so I've gathered

a few bits together to have a play! 

I'm hoping to use them myself and maybe for Christmas

presents!

It has been a very wet and windy day today and I think I 

even heard some thunder!! So here is a splash of colour

I have been blogging for quite a while now, just posting my work and 

little ideas. It has only been this year that I have really thought about 

taking blogging seriously! Now I am planning blog posts and using 

social media to boost followers...I've discovered I love blogging! I also

Kitchen Art

                                      

                                      

Here is a painting I did for our new kitchen...(a few years ago now!)
I am going to start pinning ideas and artwork that I have created for
our home on Pinterest as I love seeing other people's ideas, so I would
like to inspire others too! I used colours from the kitchen tiles and the
paint for the walls to compliment the overall scheme of the room.

Pretty Lights

Today I have been working in the garden to

tidy it up ready for the Autumn. We have new 

lanterns and fairy lights as well as some pretty

flowers. Will update soon with more photos.

the new Center Parcs at Woburn. It was beautiful!
The most luxurious thing was our hot tub, sauna
and steam room in our back garden! It was bliss!
Speaking of bliss...the spa was amazing!!

Summer Garden

The garden is such a beautiful place to be this

time of year! The sun is shining and the plants 

are blooming! So much colour and life, I just love

to sit out with a cup of tea and watch my cat

sunbathe. Bliss! 

Green

I went for a walk around Markeaton Park in Derby,

and was struck how green it was. So vivid and full

of life that i couldn't resist taking lots of photos!

So my colours!!

I treated myself to these amazing nail varnishes for

my little sister's wedding. Gorgeous colours!
